بهتره از اطلاعاتتون بک اپ بگیرید و سپس نسخه جدید رو نصب کنید. میشه بروزرسانی کرد ولی باز هم باید از اطلاعاتتون مانند پوشه های زیر بک اپ بگیرید : htdocs and data folder subfolder of mysql folder یعنی تمام اطلاعات روت و پوشه های درون اون و پوشه های مای اس کیوال رو بک اپ بگیرید و بعد از نصب نسخه جدید اون ها رو دوباره جایگزین کنید. حوصله کنید متن زیر رو بخونید راهنمای کامل اینکار است : How to upgrade php in xampp Lots of time you need to use multiple version of php for your different project.
